The frozen water bottle is a great idea!! I'll try that this weekend for Sebastian. It's supposed to be around 30oC all weekend, he'll not be too happy, even though he's mostly hairless now.

So sweet! And the little guy is just too adorable.
I never thought about a frozen water bottle, either... I'll keep it in mind in case our a/c goes out again.

Thanks for all the great comments everyone.

Just an FYI about the frozen water bottles, if they are completely frozen it is best to wrap them in a towel an old pillow case or something especially so if you have ones that are young, old, sick or hairless. This water bottle in this pic was no longer completely frozen. (I take them out of the towel when they are half thawed).

    More ideas for hot ferrets:
Wet a towel down, drape it in front of the fan in front of their cage. (be caerful the fabric won't interferre with the fan). Or you can even just lay the wet towel in their cage.

Large bowl, clean litterpan, etc.. filled with an inch or so of water or ice cubes or a combo of both. They love to play in it. (just keep the water shallow, the bowl should be easy to get in & out & keep an eye on them).
Soar high & free my sweet fur angels. I love you Nanook & Raustyk... forever & ever.
