I'm so glad she id going to Planned pethood!! They do a good job. Both my mom's Taggert, and my BIL's Gizmo were adopted from Planned Pethood.
I was going to PM you and suggest you try them or even the Toledo Area Humane Society, who has an open door, no kill policy, as oppassed to the Dog Warden.

I live in Toledo, so if this falls through, please PM me. I can help you try other local rescue groups, there are many, and I have some contacts.

Thanks! she went to planned pethood. We tried the humane society but they said they don't take "strays". then we called the vet.........she said if we wanted her to go there we had to say she was OUR dog! OOPS!

Unfortunately, TAHS can't take strays. They have to go to the warden. It is better to say they are yours and you are surrendering. I learned that one that hard way too, when we found a stray. I'm sure Shadow will find a great home with the help of Planned Pethood. I have been watching for her on their site, but she hasn't been added yet. I'm sure they are waiting to get to know her a bit.
