    Please please don't breed your hamsters just because you think it will be "cute". Its a lot more work that you'd think, and if you don't know what you're doing the male impregnates the female almost immediately after having the babies. So if she has babies while you're asleep then guess what? She's pregnant again. And do you have homes lined up for ALL the babies? Not only that but if the mom or dad gets upset, they eat the babies.

    Please please please reconsider and do the mature and responsible thing and do not let them breed just because you think it will be "cute".

    ditto. believe it or not there are plenty of hamsters out there needing homes...

    I feel bad for the ones in pet stores, I mean come on!! This petshop OWNER couldn't tell the diference between a male and a female... This happens at most shops .

    When I was younger, maybe 13? My parents went to a hamster breeder and they weren't sure if they were male or female.. they ended up having babies.
