info
I do know that they require a lot of experienced care. Its not a first time owner kind of pet. If they don't get proper foods & lighting, they can become deformed & then die.
Now a first time owner, could care for 1 if they did proper research on the animal & have the time to properly care for it.
Edit: Here is a MUCH better link Better Info
Here's pics of a couple of different morphs of beardies:

They're generally very friendly, and are actually one of the very best 'starter' reptiles. All reptiles have pretty specialized and important needs, but beardies are for sure one of the least challenging lizards to care for.She should be fine as long as she did her set-up research beforehand.
Wow! Thanks for the info.
She is a first time owner but she had been doing months of research before actually getting one. Thanks.

REST IN PEACE GRACIE. NOT A DAY GOES BY THAT I DON'T MISS YOU.
I own 2 Beardies, and love them. They are also my first ones, and I've had them since July. They are very sweet and loving, with opposite personalitiesI don't think I could ever live without them now.
I'm sure your sister will love them.
