Anyone here have a bearded lizard/dragon?
My sister called me yesterday and said that she has one.
What are they and what do they look like?

I do know that they require a lot of experienced care. Its not a first time owner kind of pet. If they don't get proper foods & lighting, they can become deformed & then die.

Now a first time owner, could care for 1 if they did proper research on the animal & have the time to properly care for it.

They're generally very friendly, and are actually one of the very best 'starter' reptiles. All reptiles have pretty specialized and important needs, but beardies are for sure one of the least challenging lizards to care for.She should be fine as long as she did her set-up research beforehand.

I've just seen so many of my friends get lizards & not care for them properly to the point of near death or death

I own 2 Beardies, and love them. They are also my first ones, and I've had them since July. They are very sweet and loving, with opposite personalities I don't think I could ever live without them now.

I'm sure your sister will love them.
