I don't know exactly what happened, but I suspect he got it stuck on part of his chain in his old dog yard in cold weather. It's an old injury and well healed. Happened long before he got here. Sundin actually isn't neutered, but now that I can catch him, he will be soon!Originally Posted by Gina's Ark Inc.

Thanks for the fix. I just have to keep coming back to this thread until you get back. So...hmm...does that mean the dogs will be alone this week? Hmmm...Oooh Antare, come here baby, look at this nice big bone...(snatches Antare).
Have a wonderful wonderful trip!!!!!

Only kidding, I knew Stuart was staying home (and I remembered that his father comes over every day), but it was worth a try anyway. How is Stuart's...was it his hand?
Edited to Add: Oh I just saw your reply, Gina. Thanks.![]()
If you could get close enough to Antare to snag him, I'd probably faint and you could walk right off with him. He's a pretty timid little guy.Originally Posted by Ginger's Mom
Stuart's hand is improving. He got the stitches out a couple days ago and the pin comes out in 10 days or so. As long as he's careful and doesn't bump it, the pain is much better too.
His Dad came over tonight and followed me around through the feeding routine so he can do that if Stuart's hand won't allow it. The feed bucket weighs about 25 pounds and you kinda need two hands--one to carry, one to scoop. Setting the bucket down to scoop every time would just be annoying, especially for the dogs! I don't think they'll get much meat while I'm gone. Stuart can't use an axe yet. The meat is frozen in big blocks and I chop off meal size chunks. Hopefully one of them will scoop the poop--a week without scooping would be a little long!
