Miss Hoppy and I are well aware of photographers' tricks, and of perspective - as my BFA is in Illustration, and required an understanding of technical illustration, I could probably bore you to tears on the subject.It's a photographer's trick...you take the pic looking up and the subject you want to look bigger, closer to the lens!
If you keep that in mind you can see that both pictures were taken that way.
Like the photo of a street - The street is the same wide all along the length, but it looks like it narrows in the distance.
But as this page says, the world's largest rabbit is 11.5 k, that's about 25 pounds, so the claims of the one saying he's 88 pounds is just exaggerating!

In the Chilton Humane Society when I was looking for a dog, before Autumn, they had several giant rabbits there. They probably weighed close to 25 pounds.

Nope, it's not a trick. I saw Herman on tv last night on Entertainment Tonight (ET). He IS real and weighs 19 lbs and is still growing. His ears are 10 inches long. They put him up next to a regular bunny and he looks like a small dog!!!
Definitely no trick photography there!
