Anyway, back to topic...
In reality I wouldn't mix any 2 breeds together to make the perfect breed for me because I've already found it (Toller). But seeing as this is supposed to be just for fun I'd want to mix whatever breeds PT's Samantha is, she's got to be one of the most beautiful dogs ever! I'd also love to have one whatever Kiara isThere really are no two breeds that I'd like to mix together actually...

I have to laugh at some of your combinations, because they actually do exist in Satos. Sometimes we make a game of figuring out what they are.
We've seen Satos that are corgi/lab mixes, pomeranian/cocker spaniel, long hair chihauha/dashsund, shephard/corgi, some of the mixes are really really strange.
For those who don't know, Satos are mixed breed street dogs on the island of Puerto Rico. There are several rescue groups on the island, who are working to get more people to spay/neuter, and stop the incredible cruelty there.
Meanwhile, they catch the dogs, nurse them back to health, and send them to several stateside shelters to be adopted. The shelters do well with them because they tend to be small mixed breed dogs, incredibly smart, and very loving.
Now before anyone asks the thousand dollar question - I'll answer it. Local dogs have first priority. Satos can only be flown if the shelters have space. Luckily here in the Northeast, people spay/neuter their dogs so we do not have a lot of problems here.
If anyone would like to see some of the Satos, check the website at:

It's a phenominal program, this weekend the rescuers are flying in from the Island to visit with their rescues. We do a yearly reunion in New England.
hmmm, i would do a
Great Dane and a Pitt Bull and i would call it a Great Bull
Australian Shepherd and a German Shepherd and i would call it a Geauslan Shepherd i actually think that would be pretty cute...
Chiuahua and a Teacup Yorkie
Owned by Titus, Bob, Alice, Trixie, Honey, Chesterfield, Al, Oreo, Dave, Ed, and Tyr!
In two short months I will have my dream horse, Cesar!
well as it is for fun i´d say Husky/Dalmatian and it would be a Huskian or a Dalsky.

Now lets just hope no BYB or the like sees this thread & gets sick ideas in their heads.![]()
Soar high & free my sweet fur angels. I love you Nanook & Raustyk... forever & ever.
What worries me about this thread is exactly what lv4dogs mentioned. If you go to the petsmo.com website, there are breeder links and forums there. Just what we DON'T need.

ok kinda goin off topic but the OP's website really ticks me off
especially with the AST
http://www.petsmo.com/pets/pet10.html
you have 5 stars for watchdog abilitya well bred AST makes the WORST guard dog
you have only 3 stars for affection and friendlyness towards strangers, that should be 5 for each!!!! a well bred AST is very affectionate and loves everyone they meet

Thanks for pointiing that out, I actually hadn't even looked at the site before I saw your post so I just went to take a look at a few more breeds and a lot of them don't seem to have true info on the breeds. I jsut read through the Doberman info and the only thing they seemed to have gotten correct is the grooming requirements. The Rottweiler info they have is totally wrong aswell....Originally Posted by AllAmericanPUP

I am appalled at the incorrect information, Staffy. are the best! I love them! They ahve great personality, I had a mix, I rescued her, and she was a dog the wouldn't hurt a flea, lick ya tho death, but not bite! I can't believe the information, because people often read and believe anything thinking it is true and now are going to get the wrong impression. I have been telling people for years, since as long as I can remember, that we should stop all breeding, for 5 years, and give the current puppies, dogs and homeless animals a chance to find good homes, I saw 4~!! PUREBRED Huskies, at the pound, and 3 were strays! ,one a turned over pet. I cant believe it, my Pugsly is the best pet, but! I would never dream of mixing a pug/boxer and we suspect pit together....its astonishing the amount of irresponsibility I see in the people who breed. I have rescued, fostered and readopted out so many mixes, and I have to admit, they are they best, But I have also seen some pretty bad breeding as well. I am also very upset with several "rescue agencies" as some require tooooo much to adopt ( as in process, which scares people away) and others couldn't care less! oh, lord its scary where some of these pets end up. My pugsly cost me 20$ to adopt from the pound, because he was already fixed. You know how many Laboratories would die to find them that cheap, when they are paying alot more for stolen ones??? EKKK???? Pugs (short for pugsly) is an 8year old mix, nobody wanted, who was there for days and on his last ones. He is crate trained, house trained, likes cats, dogs, kids, people, and loves to sleep in my bed at night and cuddle with my kitten shadow. Nobody wanted him, mainly ( I suspect) because he is older, and has a pug/boxer face. So we saved him as a permanent addition to our household. He was a pet someone was forced to hand over to the pound as a kid got allergies or something, and when we called his old owner to get his shot records(way OVERDUE I might add, by 2 years!) She cried, and was happy he placed, as she had given him up awhile back and thought he was for sure to be euthanized. Though I am glad to have such a nice pet, he now has separation anxiety, as he grew with his last family for his entire life, until the kid got allergies, It is sad and I am sure he understands not, but he is my boy, he only has one quirk, he likes to pee on my furniture, not sure why, but he has only done it 3 times, mainly when left unsupervised (which won't be happening again, lol...) well, sorry to rant and vent, but I am glad to see others who believe along the same lines as me, since as long as I can remember, I have disagreed with all the overpopulation and breeding, though I know it will never happen, I do wish someone would take heed and devise a plan, or the animals that are in need and are no doubt GREAT, will no longer have anything to look forward to, no comfortable beds, a loving family, a good home,a nice doghouse, and food, playtime with the family children, all that will be gone....because of overpopulation...........some think I over eggagerate and dramatize, but imagine being a dog or cat, needing a home , and no one to take you in, because they have a pet, or bought a puppy, or have no room for more pets....wouldn't you be devastated??? This game was meant to be fun, I think I squandered that, but It is cute to make up your own mixes.... I would like a Greatdane/Doberman I love their loyalty, family values, intelligence, and strength. They are both so gorgeous, and soo wonderful. A Doberdane??? or Goberdane???

Totally have to agree with you. If someone is going to create an informational website, then they need to make sure it's the correct info.Originally Posted by AllAmericanPUP

Don't Breed or Buy While Shelter Animals Die.
If Pit Bulls are outlawed, only outlaws will have Pit Bulls.
Having had St Bernards around the house while I was growing up, I have to disagree with them on that breed as well. They say that Grooming a St Bernard is 3 paws/stars/whatever, but they require more grooming than most other breeds I've had experience with. The site also states they are not very playful and they have a low energy level. Huh? Which St bernards have you been around? They also have a tendency to be territorial, especially males, which makes them, if trained, decent watchdogs.
As far as Dals, dals have a TON of energy, need a lot of exercise, but are rated midrange in these categories.
Two questions.....
First, where did they get their info?
Second, what were they smoking when they transcribed it?
