Oh Uma, what a beautiful girl you are, with an equally beautiful gentle spirit that shines through in your photo as well as your proud human's words. Your story sounds a bit like my rescue boy, Tommy's. He too had a rough start and is a bit of a scaredy cat, but the gentlest soul I've ever known. I can really relate to your story and just how precious you are. You certainly do have a heart of pure gold, lovely Uma. I am always apalled at what some people can do to a helpless creature, and yet equally amazed at the wonderful people who come to the rescue, to give you a chance at a life of love and happiness that you so deserve. I must say, the tail thumping/nudging routine sounds familiar too. There's no fooling my Tasha when she knows I'm coming awake .
