In Paintshop and other programs, there's a tool called a cloning tool. What it does is you right click on a piece of background, then click in another spot and it puts that background over whatever is there. For example, I'd right click a piece of Tommy's fur, then try to clone that over the leash to make it look like the leash was never there. Depending on what you're trying to "clone," it can be tricky to do it so that it looks and flows naturally. I usually don't take the time and effort to really work with it although I have cloned out slime on Tommy's muzzle before from when he's really been drooling and it flipped around over his nose and shows up in the photo .
