When I let him out in the kennel this evening for him to potty, his owners drove by and saw him. So he's safely home. I called the police to tell them he was home, and they asked if I caught the owners name. I thought they were asking to make sure it was the correct people, but they wanted to make sure they had the right owners so they could call and find out why the dog hasn't been registered with the town since 2003!! Guess they should keep a better hold of their pooch!
