I'm pretty sure Greyhound racing is still legal in OR, but Multnomah closed down a while ago. My uncle called to tell me that and I was devastated. Multnomah was 100% adoption and mostly everybody thought it was a model Greyhound race track. (Jcsperson knows more about this.) I like lure coursing, but the dogs that can actually physically compete in the sport is very minimal. The sport is *very* demanding and track stars aren't always lure coursing stars. Again...difference in opinions and build. Me, I like NOTRA and LGRA. It's like Greyhound racing except all purebred sighthounds are allowed and there's no betting. It's mostly a Whippet thing, though
