I grew up with many dogs. My parents loved animals and believed we (children) should have our own pet to take care of. One of those lessons in responsibility. As a results there were always at least 5-6 dogs in our household. Of course added to the bunch were rabbits, turtles, fish and whatever stray or wounded animal we would bring into the mix. I currently have two dogs. The only "problem" I have had is jealousy. That means I have to make sure each is petted, loved, and spoiled rotten the same as the other. I didn't plan on having two dogs, but now I can't imagine my life without my two boys. Yes, you do have to buy more dog food, but you get double the kisses, double the love. Talk to your Dad (don't pester him! ). Maybe there's a reason he doesn't want to bring another dog in the household. Let us know how it's going.
