Idiopathic cystitis is indeed a frustrating diagnosis! It's so hard to tell what's actually stressing the cat, especially when she seems to be happy. However, if she lives in a multicat household, she may be stressed by one of the other kitties. Sometimes there are changes in their environment that are so subtle that we don't even realize...

I don't know how you think about this, or if this would be an option for you, but in a case like this (crystals being ruled out) I would consider to contact an animal psychic, or animal communicator to try to find out what's actually bothering the cat. Kitties are often so good in hiding their discomforts that it's hard for us to tell what's wrong.

I hope that Biocalm helps her to feel better, another option would be cranberries (if you haven't already) or Bachflower remedies.
