I'm sorry to say this, but I think you are over-reacting a little. Look at the bigger picture, these animals are in cages because they are waiting to get adopted into good homes. If the animals were in cages for a long period of time, I'm sure they would be put to sleep, which I would hate to see. But I honestly think if they are in cages for a little over 2 weeks it isn't a big deal because they do get walked, fed, and well cared for and then finally adopted. If the dog was abused and left on a chain with no good care outside, I would rather see them in a cage at the Humane Society, safe and sound. That's why they ask for volunteers. If your agianst organizations that keep animals in cages, does that mean you are agianst the ASPCA and Humane Society trying to help animals getting adopted?
