Interesting. I did a quick scan and it seems the 1 yr is favored as a booster if a vaccinated dog has come into contact with a rabid animal. Speculation here... it could be the 1 yr version evokes a faster ananestic response(?). Thus the preference for it in lasped vaccinations? I'll leave it to you to ask all your Vets at the office. ;)Quote:

They do state if your dog has tangled with a raccoon or other potentially rabid animal it should receive a booster within 72 hrs- even if up to date on its rabies vaccination. Also found out that without the rabies tags (I gave up trying to keep them on), puppies are free game for the local dog catcher to pick up. Clover, Barney... run for it!!! :eek:
