I'd love to see the cutie! I've always been fond of monkeys!
I whould love to see pics of your monkey. :)
oh, you make me laugh you guys! I did say i had a monkey, BUT i never said it lived with ME. He lives in Africa with the family I stayed with!LOL! I know how much paperwork and stuff you have to put up with. I tried to bring James over before he got poisoned and there was like a 300 dollar fine for 1 month of quarantine, and i can't afford that. Especially if it were a monkey. Trust me, i looked into this. He actually IS domesticated and he did come from a breeder. He can be held, walk on a leash, he gives kisses, and sits and all that great stuff. But he is considered domestic over there, and according to the 'standards' he passes for domestic animal. He isn't at all wild though, which is cool, and he is SUPER tiny! I sent money over to have him vaccinated, they said 15 dollars would last for his vet bills for LIFE! That's crazy! Just imagine if we could all take our pets over to Africa and have their vet bills taken care of for under 1 dollar per visit! Well, i hope that resolved everyones problems, and without further adu(is that how you spell it?)
Emory!!!!!

Well, when you say that someone bought you a monkey, what else were we supposed to assume? We can't read your mind to know it wasn't living with you.....
well, if i didn't say it was living with me, good chance it's not
But you said it was bought FOR YOU.... agg nevermind. You're totally missing the point.
I'm not missing the point, i understand what you're saying, my friends do this to me all the time. Like for example:
I have a shirt for my friend that says "Stupidity is not a crime so your free to go" but it's not HERS, it's hers, but i own it solely for the purpose of embarrasing her, in this case They have a monkey for me, it's mine, it just doesn't live with me
i don't really know if i am making sense

I'm confused about the shirt thing
I'm confused period..
Ditto on the confusion. The monkey is adorable, but the thing that disturbs me the most is the vast amounts of "bushmeat" poached in Africa, and the fact that most likely this baby is a sad victim of this. In other words, an orphan that has been forced to rely on humans in order to survive at all.Quote:

All that said, I wish the baby well...he is adorable.
Do you live here in the United States? How often do you get to see this little fellow? Do you go to Africa to play with him? Sorry for all the questions, just wondering.
Such cute pictures of Emory!
Willie :)
no, i haven't gone over to Africa to see him yet, and the African thing about the bush hunting or whatever, i can tell you he is not a victim of it. I saw his papers and he has no wild animal in his family, well, i mean, along the lines the family was domesticated, but the Breeder is like certified and stuff, they got him when he was born so there is no way he is a victim of that. I am also confused, well, let's just let that go...
