Bella, the Search Dog, is Sick...

I also got a nice note from Deresa and Bella.

"Dear Jackie, Perry and Daisy,
What good looking dogs you are? Is Perry the Schnauzer or the Scotty? Thanks for your support and well wishes.

I'm still using up the tissues! I have a special fondness for Border Collies. Cody and I have emailed our prayers and love to Bella. I have also written a check...Angels3, I've sent enough to include you from DownUnder! I know you want to help too!

Karen...what a wonderful thing to do! You are just the best!!! That's a great idea. I'm sending another check in honor of all the members who cannot, as well as for all the dog lovers of the world who do not know Bella and who would, I'm sure, contribute if they knew.

Thank you for posting the address of Bella's Web site. We sent a "get well" card some days ago and now we are mailing a check to assist with her treatment.
We know she has touched the heart of many people and hope they will be as generous with their help as Bella has been with her dedication to saving lives.

A lot of us in Australia sent emails of support to Bella & her handler. They must have got thro...along with others from the 4 corners of the earth. Below is the email we received back from Bella & Deresa.

'Dear Friends:
Thank you so much for your kind thought and support. The outpour from
everyone has been beyond belief! It's great to know that people out there
care. Bella has heard from people (and pooches) as far away as England,
Australia, South America, South Africa, Canada and Italy.
Bella is doing well, almost back to her old self. Most of the hair has grown
back over the radiated leg but she still has bald spots. She needs sunscreen
put on daily.
Please check the website from time to time, for there will be updates on how
she is doing and new pictures. LAFD.org
