........I thought I'd post anyway in hopes. After visiting the SPCA here many times to adopt Docker, I fell in love with these two. Being older, large dogs, and with the SPCA's hope of keeping them together, their chances are slim, but I have "met" both and played with/petted them and they are really great dogs. Again, I know it's a long shot but I just thought I'd post it. Kane and Able are at the Fort McMurray, Alberta SPCA.

Hi Steve,
Have you contacted Labs4Rescue? This is an awesome group who help us place Labbies from the south into the north, where they are loved and appreciated for the wonderful pets they are. Type in a search for Labs4Rescue, visit their webpage and there are several contacts there.
Good Luck and let us know how this goes.

No, I never really thought about it but thanks Gidgetgirl, I think I'll try something like that. The hard part will be adopting the two of them out together. The good news is that I found out this is a "no-kill" shelter, but it's sad for them to live out their days in a pound. They are at least in the same pen.
