Please say a prayer for our Sam, he is at the vet right now. We applied the Frontline Plus on Thursday to all the cats. He was fine, eating, and his usual self until just about 24 hours after application, when he had projectile vomiting. He was VERY lethargic this morning, and only ate a bit of his food(he is a chow hound!!!). We are waiting to hear from the vet.....thanks....

Prayers for dear Sam!

At least he is in good hands...hopefully some fluids and TLC will get him back your lovin' arms in no time!

Could he have ingested some of the Frontline from grooming one of the other cats?

Fingers and paws crossed here - hoping everything will be okay and Sam is back to normal soon.

Sam is HOME!! Had sub q fluids, an anti-nausea med, and was wormered. " They(the animal poisen control)do not think it is Frontline + related. For pomtzu, even though some of the cats groom one another, since the Frontline+ has been applied, they have NOT been grooming each other....Sam will have some baby chicken food for supper, and possibly tomorrow. He is on a pad in front of the heat blower under the stove, next to Bianca Rose...Thank you for your kind words and prayers.....a big MEOW of thanks from Sam...

Oh Sandra, I was worried when I saw the title. Glad to hear Sam has recovered and is back home.

Wonder what happened? Give that handsome guy some chin rubs from me!

I am VERY happy to let you all know, that Sam IS BACK!!! He has been running about with Ralph, tried to steal Nimet's food as it was being prepared, and right now is looking at me, as if to say, " Hey Mom!!! When are you going to eat breakfast?!!?" Thank you so much for all your prayers and thoughts for Sam!!!

I'm glad to hear that Sam is doing much better now.:) I use advantage and I just applied this tonight and a little later on Storm vomited which he never does after the advantage. I also attempted to brush everyone's teeth so maybe this is what caused Storm to vomit. Cat sure are sensitive animals.

I use Frontline on my cats. Now I'm worried about using it again.

I don't think the medicine itself is that toxic. The carrier might irritate cats' tummies. Bubba got diarrhea after getting Advantage, just a couple of days. I think it was from grooming Pink Nose.

I wouldn't worry too much about using Frontline Plus you get from your vet. We've been using it for years, on I'm guessing hundreds of pets and to my knowledge we've only had two issues (one was just a ticked off cat, not really a reaction, the other was some minor hair loss at the application site).

I can't say for the safety of OTC/internet Frontline as it's possible to have counterfit products.
