Xander is a three year old guinea pig with dutch markings and he lives in Dublin, Ireland. He is the first guinea pig that we got and he's the most special (even though you're not meant to have favorites). He's really friendly and loves meeting new people and will always allow strangers to pet him. He loves having trips out in the car, any fruit and vegetables he can get and getting shoulder rubs.
Xander has been sick a lot so he has a very special place in our heart. He has a problem with allergies and often has a crackly chest and problems breathing. It took a long time to figure out what was causing this and despite all those vet trips, he still loves people and never developed a fear of them. He also had a really serious abscess when he was about a year old and he was rushed to the emergency vet. We were told that if we had waited till the next day he would have died. He also has very sensitive skin so he needs a lot of extra love, which we are happy to give him. He has been neutered and lives with four lovely ladies, but before his operation he fathered a litter and so gave us three lovely pigs that are just as good-looking as their dad.
We love Xander so much.
