HMeet Sky! She is a Budgerigar, what some people also call a Budgie or a parakeet. When I first adopted Sky, she was scared of people and was terrified of hands. I slowly worked with her and gained her trust.
Sky is now comfortable around my family and I. I've taught her many tricks like wave, roll over, fetch, spin around, and she flies to me on command! The only time Sky is ever in her cage is when she goes to bed. As soon as I wake up, I uncover her and open her cage and she flies right onto my shoulder. My family will play with her while I'm at work and as I come home, she will happily greet me with some loud chirps! Sky has become a part of the family and I cannot imagine being without her!
