Hi, this is Roman, my two-year-old desert mouse, or gerbil as they are called. His home is an aquarium, where he lives with my sister's desert mouse called Luise. We (Roman and me) live in Goslar, a small town in Germany near Hannover.
As often as possible, Roman likes to play outside his home in our living room or our kitchen. Sometimes I build a castle of Legos for him or something where he can run a lot. He doesn't need much water, but gets some food every day. He loves sunflower seeds and apples, sometimes even dead grasshoppers. When I call him, he looks to see if I have some food for him. I always have to pay attention when we are playing that he doesn't nibble a little piece of my clothes. I hope that he'll live for many years to come!
