This
is Sir Chi Chi - a TOV Tan (or touch of velvet chocolate ebony)
Chinchilla. He was born May 5th, 1999. We live in Eastern Iowa with
other chins, gerbils, hamsters, two dogs & two cats. Chi Chi is very
special for many reasons. He was born in my first litter of chinchillas,
and is not a common color. When the litter was born I was out of
town for the day, but when I came home, opened the mothers nursery cage,
he bond across the cage to climb the side nearest me and peeked out over
the edge. That was it, he was here to stay! He loves to get out of his
cage at every opportunity to run about the room or play in an oversized
excretes ball. You would think he would want to stay home more as he
lives with two lovely ladies, Onyx a Black Velvet and Rue a Golden
Mosaic (very dark pinkwhite)!! Soon, I hope that he becomes a daddy, but
we love him just the same!
