This
is my pet Flossy...the bossy with her baby, Ichabod. Flossy turned
seven years old this September 8th. Flossy is a red and white Holstein
dairy cow. She resides in South Dakota. She has given birth to five
babies in her life, number five was in September after her birthday. She
weighs about 1,250 pounds and eats a lot. She is really soft and gentle
and likes to have the top of her head scratched. She never has an
expression on the face. Flossy has the psychic ability to know when a
gate is open, so that she can find the grain supply, and when I shut the
gate before she gets out and laugh at her, she gives no expression of
disappointment. She gives no hint of what she is thinking. Flossy loves
the grass when it is tall and green as well as the sunshine, but if it
is too warm, she likes to lay down under a shady tree to rest. She
enjoys attention and yet doesn't mind if attention is given to the other
21 bossies in the herd. She has friends who include: Softy, Beauty,
Stringbean, Kirbie, Peaches, Cherry, as well as Betty, Anibell, and
Twinkie.
