This
is Chocolate Ripple. She is a Barred rock hen. She lays fine
brown eggs each day and has a lovely happy cluck. We have had her
since spring, this April, so that makes her about five months old.
She wasn't stripped then but was black and white and fluffy cute.
We really love her as she eats weeds we give her and other table
scraps. We feed her stale bread too but she eats laying food every
day so she will keep laying her eggs for our omelets and deviled
eggs.
She is even a celebrity as she has been to a few grade schools to
teach children about God's animals. The children enjoyed her soft
feathers. Chocolate Ripple's home is in a roost in Indianapolis
Indiana.
