Zoe
is a beige chinchilla aged six months living in Glasgow,
Scotland. She is very naughty and loves to lift the carpets and pull
the fibres off them. She also has a taste for electrical wires, the
hoover wire being a firm favorite. She is an expert sprinter and runs
at amazing speeds in our home, bouncing off anything including us!
She doesn't like to be picked up but doesn't mind being held as long
as her back paws are supported. Sometimes she settles down under a
radiator on the carpet and likes us to stroke her side until she is
fast asleep. She gets very excited at meal times especially when she
smells treats like cranberries or alfalfa chews. She is active at
night but also sometimes in the morning, especially at the weekend
when she knows we are around. Her favorite places to sleep in her
cage are the top of her "house" and her pine cube.
Sometimes she falls asleep in a sitting position on her manzanilla
branch. The branch is also a chew toy and keeps her teeth trimmed.
