These
are my children as I call them, Lisa Marie and
Robbie. Lisa is a leopard tortoise and robbie is a Sulcata.
They are roughly two and a half years old and they love to
eat, anything but especially dandelion greens and romaine
lettuce. Robbie loves corn on the cob and can eat the whole
thing like a typewriter! Robbie is a Sulcata, so he will
get very big in a few years. Sulcatas are also called
African Spur-thighed, and are the third largest tortoises in
the world. I keep them in a wooden cage when it's cold, but
when it's warm I keep them outside. They do need light
when I keep them inside. They watch me and when they see
food, Robbie will come to me and eat out of my hand. Lisa
Marie just is shy and won't eat until later. Tortoises make
great pets, but they require a lot of work.
