Stormy
is a 5-year old chinchilla who lives in Dubuque, Iowa. What makes him
special is his intelligence and his personality. He can do tricks, like
standing on his hind legs. He is usually very nice, although he hates being
woken up from naps! He loves intimidating the cat, even though she is over
ten times his weight. Also, he knows quite a few tricks for begging raisins
(his favorite food) from whoever happens to be around.
Stormy is very playful, and very quick! He loves to run away and dash around
the house, so I have to outsmart him to catch him. He loves to eat raisins.
If he doesn't get one or two of them at night, he will make a peculiar
rasping sound, which sounds kind of like velcro. Often he is very cuddly,
but he has to be in just the right mood. Otherwise he will nip playfully and
try to escape so I have to catch him.
