Harley
is a very special friend and has had a hard life. We rescued him
from the Humane Society shelter in Calgary... he was 11 months old then and
and had been in a car wreck and was very timid. It appears that he was
injured prior to our finding him (but he is OK, physically and mentally now.)
As soon as he saw us his ears perked up and he acted like he knew us.
We had to take him home. Since then Harley has been traveling by jet,
truck and Sailboat all over North America. He has even made friends with
dolphins in Florida and taught himself how to fish for salmon in the
Fraser River of British Columbia. He caught a good-sized one there...
and he had a license, albeit a dog license.
He has come face to face with everything from grizzly bears to hamsters
and wants to be friends with all he meets.
