How
Cassie became the member of the family was through adoption on the
weekly "Pet of the Week" sponsored by the Humane Society televised on a
local TV station.
Cassie has several unique qualities in that she is very sociable, a good
running companion, loyal, and silent (does not bark). On occasion she
can put out a "howl" that can stand the hair on the back of your neck
and feel that your in the deep wilderness. Cassie requires a lot of
exercise, we go around the block for a walk at least two times a day,
and run a couple of miles two to three times a week. Several times she
goes by herself, and be back in 20 to 30 minutes. The neighbors enjoy
having Cassie drop by for a quick pet or two and checking out how
everybody is doing. The neighborhood kids enjoy her playful romps and
actually have come up to the house and ask if Cassie can play.
Presently, Cassie is trying to become certified as a Therapy Dog, in
which she will visit retirement homes, and hospitals.
