Here are the photos I promised from this past weekend's Dock Dogs event in Gonzales, Louisiana. We had a blast, I can't believe we forgot the camera to video tape his jumps, though. Oh, well. :) These photos will have to do!

Here's Finn, bringing the EV bumper down (it's somewhere between 5' and 5'4").

This is where I set him up for a Big Air jump, all the way back at 40 feet. It looks like he's being sweet and giving me a kiss, but what he's actually doing is barking practically in my mouth as I tell him to sit. He just about breaks my eardrums when I'm setting him up. :)

Hauling butt!

Trying to get that bumper!

He was tucking himself in, trying to get the bumper. :)

I let him run with the bumper while I put his leash down at the exit gate, we have fun running up there with eachother. :)

Crazy legs!

I love these next three...this is his softer side. ;) We are waiting our turn in these photos.

You can see his new Zuke's patch on his vest. It turned out great, and we are proud to represent their products! :) I hope you guys enjoyed these photos. I will poke around and see if I can find some recent ones, I haven't done a ton of Finn photography since we moved out of our house. But, I think I have a few! :)

Great photo shots. I think that is so cool that you do things like that with your dog. was it difficult to teach him or did he just take to it naturally?

I never thought I'd get this into a dog sport. But, it is so much more than that, it's a great excuse to travel, we meet so many people who understand how much we love Finn, and it really makes him so so happy to do it. :) It's definitely what he was put here to do. Besides make me the happiest girl ever, of course. ;) He completely took to it, immediately. The only thing I really work on is my throws...the timing, the speed, the height, the distance, it's actually really hard to get it just right for him. I'm sure he has at least a couple more feet in him, I just have to figure it out!

Here are some random photos that I've taken in the past couple months. I may have posted a couple of these already, sorry if they're repeats. :)

Finn's begging David to throw the frog. ;)

"I'm gonna eat you!" says Finn to the frog!

http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a86/southcarolinalife/DSC_0009.jpg

And, then I'm gonna sleep on you. ;) That's the frog under his head.

Super Finn. :)

Finn smelling some tulips. :)

This is our new apartment. It's way smaller, but we have all that space right outside our building, it's wonderful! There's a creek right next to the walkway there...and then there's a pond right across the street. :) Here's Finn, relaxing on the balcony. :)

These next few "action" shots really show how lean and muscular he has gotten in the last year. :)

Finn is such an amazing jumper! He looks like he loves what he does. The very last one you posted makes me think of a lab out in the field flushing birds. He is such a handsom boy!

Those are perfect, fantastic action shots!! Wow, I know it is NOT easy to take a picture of a moving "object"! I am speechless here! What kind of camera are this pics taken with?

Finn is such a beautiful dog!!

Wow, such compliments, thank you! Yeah, action shots are never easy, and they are not my strong point at all. All the photos were taken with my Nikon D80. The Dock Dogs photos were taken by my boyfriend, Finn's number one fan, set on a manual setting (where you have to adjust the exposure), with auto focus. The darker action shots (where I noted how lean and strong he has gotten) were taken on the manual setting. The lighter action shots were taken on the camera's action setting. I'm not sure why it lets so much more light in, but it does. I understand my camera, but not fully. ;) But, I also take 3 or 400 photos to get a couple action shots I like, hahaha.

Anyway, thank you for the compliments about Finn. Some of you may remember when he weighed nearly 90 pounds two years ago, so I'm very proud of all of us for getting him back to a healthy, safe weight of 65! I'll never let him get over 75 pounds ever again. And, he'd have to be either Super Muscle Boy or Couch Potato Boy before he'd reach 75 pounds again. ;)

He looks AMAZING!!
I'm so happy he's done well in the sport! He's a great boy!!

This is my favorite picture of him... he looks like he's out working a field for birds. The way his color blends into the background is beautiful!!!

I'm the same way about pictures! I'll take TONS just to get a few I love!
Just this past weekend we had a huge snow storm and I took around 850 pictures! I uploaded just under 400 of them. :o

I enjoy seeing your silly boy so much! Thanks for posting pictures!!

:D You guys make it worth the time it takes to get these images up and on Pet Talk. :D Several people have said how he looks like he's hunting birds, it's so funny, because he isn't a bird dog at all! The geese back home on the lake at my parents' all know Finn and wouldn't even fly or swim away when he would play in the water. He literally would swim within a foot of the entire flock and not even turn his head to look at them. ;) Live and let live, that's Finn's motto.

Thank you for loving the photos, he's my favorite subject!

Great photos and a nice update on the life of Finn. I feel like I know him so much better after reading this thread. He certainly knows how to live in the moment and enjoy all of his activities. I too love the ones of you and him together. Now go throw that Frog for him.

How did I miss these? I'm being miss lazy butt and surfung on cell in bed so they're not all showing up. I'll be on real computer later. I love those action shots! The crazy legs one made me laugh. And the one of him all dirty after playing is great. Was good seeing him again. Hug that boy for me.

Wow, look at Finn go! He's looking really great--all muscle! I love his vest, he looks great in it too. I keep hearing commercials for a Sportsmans Expo and they are having a Dock Dogs event. Every time I hear it I think of Finn! :)
