This
is Beeper. He is a two-year-old Senegal, a real clown and
acrobat. His favorite thing is to hang upside down. When he is mad at
his food, he will throw it out of his food dish, then lay upside down
in the dish, scolding and squawking. He doesn't talk but imitates
sounds, especially the other birds. Beep is a lot of fun, especially
when he is getting his own way!
Beeper was my first "real parrot." I got him because
Senegals were recommended to me as a good first bird. They are small,
relatively quiet, compared to other parrots, and are quite comical.
Don't let that fool you! They are also the bird with "an
attitude!" They rule the roost and want their way now and at
all times. But, he's worth it... I love the little guy and wouldn't trade
him for anything! He's my friend, hopefully, for a long, long time.
