    Silver and Roxie.......ADOPTED

Well, both the kittens were adopted today. I am amazed because of their shy nature, but I guess I should not be..........they are young and they are long haired. People were actually "fighting" over them. As happy as I am that they got new homes I am at the same time wondering what was wrong with the OTHER 15 cats that were at the event that were not GOOD ENOUGH!!!???

So that leaves room at the inn...................

Need I add that more are on the way............see next update

I am happy to hear that Silver and Roxie were adopted.

I will keep good thoughts that the other ones get good homes too.

I will wait for news of more.

Oh Jen I am happy and yet sad at the same time.
Happy that they got adopted but sad that we won't be seeing their precious little faces again. Especially Silver's.
I hope and pray that the others will be adopted soon to forever homes.

I'm glad to hear that both Silver and Roxie got adopted. Hopefully they are in loving caring homes. I also hope that the people didn't adopt them just because they were good looking cats. Good luck with your future fosters.

Wonderful news Jen!!! I'm so happy for the babies!!

I'm like you and wonder why some of the most wonderful cats get over looked. It's the older average looking cat that no one seems to want. How sad. People are always telling me how beautiful my cats are but that wasn't my choice. They were dumped on me and I love them dearly, but my heart breaks for the average looking short hair because people over look them. An older cat can be so kind and loving and way less trouble than a kitten!
It has been said before here on PT about how the cat doesn't give a hoot what we look like and will love us no matter what but people want beauty. What a shame!

It isn't the cats that are not good enough it is the potential cat owners (Note I said cat owners not cat lovers)

    She is still with me.

    LOOK HERE

This is the website of a One by One volunteer who also helps out cats on her own. Sweet Annie is her featured cat of the month, maybe the extra "press" will help her.

    Great news Jen!!!
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

Here, Whiskas is doing promotions with cats that look like Sweet Annie - so she should be gone in no time around here as everyone wants silver tabbies.

People can be so crazy - after 101 Dalmatians everyone wanted Dalmatians, even people who found out later that a dog is not defined by his design but by his or her character

I am glad however that Silver and Roxie were adopted

Wonderful news for Silver and Roxie! I know just how you feel, Jen about the others who were overlooked! This is why I have 22 cats at this point.

Some time between friday and monday.

My OTHER foster, Tuscany, might have a home lined up for him, so if he leaves I will take 4 cats.
