Hehe my Mom bought me this kitty barbell. The picture is awful cause I can't get my camera to pick up the detail on something so small The second picture is what the barbell itself looks like.

I was thinking the same thing! I guess that's what you would call being supportive? She told you you couldn't do it until you were out on your own and you did, so now all she can do is shrug her shoulders and support you - what a wonderful mom.

And I think the hello kitty barbell is hilarious too! Somehow it doesn't seem to "fit" with the image that "piecers" portray. Somehow I don't think they sell a lot of hello kitty barbells. Skulls yes, hello kitty no.

You have THAT right! Trying to be a reluctantly cool mom, I went to a couple shops and I got that "do you have lobsters growing out of your ears" look when I asked about the jewelry....and the stuff I saw was CREEPY. Somehow I can't see *my* Melissa with skulls and crossbones. I like her pink kitty just fine. She really does not fit the "image" either!! What else can a mom do?

OMG! I would wear that if I had my tongue pierced! I had Hello Kitty stuff when I was a kid and still love her!
