    Some vacation pics :)

I have a TON of pics and because of that it is taking me a very long time to go through them and load them. I have picked out a few to post here. I will probably be posting more periodically as I go through more and feel a little more motivated to post them. We had an awesome time out there and I really miss it. If I leave Florida, I'm heading out West to live. So beautiful and pristine and A LOT less people. Well on with the pics so you all can see yourself.

These trees were GORGEOUS! Better than our boring old oak trees here in FL.

The views. The second pic is looking onto the road that goes into Grand Teton National Park.

Jeff and I under the Elk antlers in town square. Every spring the local Boy Scouts go out onto the Elk Refuge and collect all the shed antlers and that is how they made this arch. They also auction the antlers off. They have around 7500-12000 Elk that come to the refuge each winter. (Sorry the pic is sideways, I am less than skilled at turning it around on here without messing up the pic)

Jeff and I next to a buffalo.

Some alive bison. These gigantic critters are all over the place up there. They are quite massive. They like to stand in the road too and not move.

Some of the geese that are at the Visitor Center in Jackson.

Getting hitched! We got married at the Visitor Center and the Elk Refuge was behind us. Can't beat the views there. It was just a simple ceremony, nothing fancy, but it's what we wanted.

The sun shining through the clouds on the Elk Refuge. The Elk free roam on the Refuge in herds. They are very large animals too. I have some Elk pics but I haven't gotten to them yet.

A couple of Bull Moose. Now these guys are HUGE. I loved the moose. We have a lot of moose things in our house. I don't think I belong in FL anymore...I belong out West with the animals.

Jackson Lake, I think. I would have to check on that to make sure. Anyhow, these were taken in the morning before the sun had come over the mountain. The water level is down pretty low since they are in a drought up there. Beautiful none the less.

My father-in-law and I at the lake.

Me in Yellowstone. Like my beenie???

Lewis Falls in Yellowstone, they are about a 30 foot waterfall.

Me at the falls. It was a little chilly that day. I am native Floridian so I get cold very easily. That jacket I have on was awesome and kept me nice and warm.

This was on the other side of the bridge that went over the falls. This is looking out onto the wetlands.

A Yellowstone buffalo. This critter was in the Old Faithful area.

Me at the geysers. Sorry about my face. It was really bright and sunny and I had my sunglasses off.

The walkway that went through all the geysers. Yellowstone has over 300 geysers and that area is the most hydrothermal area around. Kinda like a giant volcano waiting to erupt.

Me and the in-laws at the geysers.

A geyser pool, looked so nice to get in, but those things are VERY hot.

Jeff and I at the geysers.

    Old Faithful herself.

The Million Dollar Cowboy Bar at night. A very cool place. At the bar itself they have saddles you sit on as the barstools. The Elk and Buffalo burgers there were so good.

Me under the arch at night.

My attempt at taking pics of our fire in the hotel room. We had a gas fireplace in there, it was really nice.

A beautiful river in Yellowstone. The water was so clear I could see fish and the rocks at the bottom. I would have no problem getting in that river. I don't go in any FL rivers because they are gross.

    At the river.

A rock face in Yellowstone. The mountains there are very rocky still because they are still relatively young compared to the Smokies here on the East coast. Another waterfall.

    Jeff and I.

    Me again, more falls.

    Looking down into the canyon.

Jeff and I at a place called Inspiration Point. It looks down into the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone.

A cute little chipmunk that was on a trail that went down to see more falls.

The falls we went to see.

Ok that's all for now. I took over 400 pics so I can't post them all. I picked some that would try and show you all the best points of my trip. Look for another thread with more pics.
