I got tp take them home tonight, and just need to keep doing them every 8 hours and watch them carefully for 24 hours. They are very happy to be home. The ride home (Over an hour's drive) was very noisy indeed. But all is quiet now. I think we are all just exhausted.

What a scare, but I'm glad they are OK now and back home. Flea meds should come in "bottles" that only release one drop at a time, it can be difficult to see how much you give. Try not to blame yourself.

Hugs to you and kisses to Marigold and Kathmandu.

Here is a first aid tip in case the wrong or too much topical flea prevention has been applied:
As soon as possible, bathe the cat in Dawn dish liquid or a mild shampoo to remove as much as possible of the substance, before it can get into the cat's system.
This is especially important if you can't get to the emergency vet right away. It will greatly improve the cat's chances of recovery.

Yes, Kermit immediately bathed them, but it was only after they started showing symptoms, sadly.
