I got Dexter 16 years ago while I was in high school. The family had never had cats, and I didn't ask if they wanted one. I ended up sneaking Dexter in through my bedroom window one afternoon, and he lived in my room unnoticed for over two weeks! By the time my mom found him, my family had no choice but to accept him.
I like your mom's style! No easy feat, keeping a kitty hidden from the parents for even a few days! Have to admit, my brother and I secreted more than a few kitties and critters into the house back in the day! But honestly, after having laid claims to your digs after those first couple of weeks, how could your mom's parents say no! And how well you've repaid your mom's guts and tenacity, her devotion, bringing so much love to her life these past many years, with hopefully many more yet to come! How lucky she is, having a beautiful, loyal and loving fur son in you! You truly are a treasure, Dexter, one in a million, a Cat of a Lifetime!

Thanks for ending my day with a BIG smile, sweetheart! Meeting you this evening, seeing your heart-melting photos, learning of the unbreakable bond you and your mommy share, has been pure joy!
