Question. The NEA just met here in Chicago and announced that they're endorsing Obama for President in 2012. There are Republicans who are still entering the race, but the NEA has already endorsed Obama versus an unknown opponent. Are they saying that they believe Obama would be better than any possible Republican candidate? What if the Republicans identify someone who can out-Obama Obama? On the other hand it seems like labor unions go toward Democratic candidates in general. I'm not happy with everything Obama has done, but he's got problems everywhere he looks. The economy? Problems. Gang violence and drugs? Big problems. Iraq and Afghanistan and terrorism? Even bigger problems. Joblessness? Problems. Health care? Long-term problems as Medicare runs out of money and Boomers and Gen X'ers like me get older. But he's only a little more than halfway through his first term and big change takes time. I would not want to be President even for a minute, no way, no how.
