    Real snow at last! **Pictures**

I'm getting crazy on pictures again, I know, but snow pictures are some of my very favorite to take and to share. We FINALLY got something other than sleet and flurries and frigid temps, it warmed up to nearly 30 and snowed! I hope these cheer you as much as they cheered me to take them on this grey winter day! Keep in mind that there is still 2-3 inches of packed sleet under the snow, it does not get above freezing very often in MN during winter

Sorry about the different sizes as well, I started out cropping them more but got short on time, needing to get back to work!

    ---

Tommy this morning when I put him out to potty. "Can't we go play Mom?"

    ----

    "I want to play too!"

    ----

So they got their wish. I put coat and boots on and out we went for a romp!

I missed this shot for the most part but look at her face! It gets hard because my fingers get numb from the cold and have delayed reaction on the camera trigger!

Well, then we went in for a couple more hours, and it kept coming down, so after lunch, we went out for another go!

    Guess what Tommy found?

    ----

He didn't want to quite lay all the way down in the snow to chew on it.

Tommy gave up on shaking the snow off his coat after awhile

    No apologies necessary!

These photos are wonderful, Jess! I'm so very jealous of all of your snow. It's in the 80's right now. VERY depressing.

As always, I LOVE the ones of Tasha running. It must be so fun to watch them romp in the snow. Tommy is so funny with those logs. Kiara always goes for the sticks in our yard, but she's never had the pleasure of playing with a log! (She seems to think everything else is for HER though!)

After the snow melts, does it take long for you guys to make the lawn as beautiful as it was before?

Thank you Kay I agree those hot temperatures in the winter would be a downer. Today was a really fun day for us, I love when it snows, but it also doesn't seem to snow much unless it gets above 20. This winter has been mostly cold and dry until now with the exception of the ice storm. Yard cleanup in the spring when the ground thaws is a mess. We mostly just have to clean up the dog messes that get buried all winter and then let the ground dry out before we do much.

Here is the forecast for tonight and tomorrow though (cut and paste from Ntl Weather Service)

... WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 12 AM UNTIL 12 PM CST THURSDAY... NORTHWEST WINDS GUSTING TO 40 MPH WILL RUSH INTO CENTRAL MINNESOTA AFTER MIDNIGHT... AND WILL REMAIN STRONG THROUGH NOON THURSDAY. ANYWHERE FROM 3 TO 8 INCHES OF FLUFFY SNOW THAT FELL TODAY WILL BE WHIPPED ABOUT BY THE WIND. WIND CHILLS WILL DROP BELOW 25 BELOW ZERO WELL AFTER MIDNIGHT AND WILL REMAIN DANGEROUSLY COLD THROUGH MIDDAY THURSDAY.

Beautiful pictures Jessica, it certainly is a winter wonderland up in this section of the state, it was snowing here today also. Predictions are for high winds, snow and frigid temperatures here tonight also, so we'll probably be snowed in tomorrow!! Your pups sure were having a good time today, that's so funny how Tommy found his log! Holly was tunneling through the snow here, she has a ball that she always carries around outside, well it was left outside last night in the yard, and it's buried in the snow somewhere today, so she was frantically looking for it. We probably won't see it until spring, so I'll have to go buy her another one (maybe a couple more, so we have some spares).

Lexi_Lover, I can just imagine how cute Lexie must look jumping up and down in the snow

Poppy, I got a couple pics of the back when it started snowing in the morning and took a couple today I'll post here. I'll try to get some Dawn pics soon too

Puppy_Love4, I really need to get to a photo station and get some pics printed out. Everyone's scrapbooks are so nice, I need to put something together myself!

Karen, I don't know how he found that log, I turned around from watching Tasha and there he had it in his mouth, all caked with snow LOL. How many balls do you find in your yard when it thaws?

Thank you very much all for the compliments

Poppy, here are the yard pics, I can't quite fit the entire back yard in but it's the majority of it.
