Dearest Meg, you are precious indeed, utterly adorable! What a beautiful Scottish Fold lady you are. That orange fur is so pretty and looks so very soft, and what a sweet face you have! Your round head makes for a great display of those Scottish-folded ears, and those lovely big amber eyes blend right in with your fur color. Your dear Purrrson says you look like a golden-owl, or 'Morepork.' I wish I could reach through the screen and around the world and all the way Down Under to Te Awamutu, North Island, New Zealand to pet you! I can't, of course, but I know your loving and beloved Purrrson will pet you for me .
And what a delightful Purrrsonality you have! Your motion is limited to some extent by skeletal problems, but what with the devoted, loving care you get, those problems don't affect your quality of life much. You sit in that amusing pose often, which turns out to be a common Scottish Fold pose. You look like the guru of some mystical sect there! You are affectionate when you're in the mood. You sometimes stare off into a corner, making your dear Purrrson wonder if you're seeing ghosts or you're just playing a game of 'made you look!' You are her/his "little character," and he/she feels very protective of you, what with your physical disabilities. Your dear Purrrsons are making your life as cozy, loving, and safe as they can. You and they all love each other very much, don't you. What a wonderful loving home you share!
Congratulations, darling Meg, on being chosen today's Cat of the Day! We hope you and your dear Purrrsons and all your family and friends are enjoying a fine celebration, full of fun and lovies and all your favorite games and treats.
I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.
