I have a 6 month old barn kitten named oreo. I learned the other day that cats get kidney stones. Is it true that they can die from those if they aren't treated?

Cats are prone to urinary tract infections (=UTIs). You may notice that if the cat strains to pee and visits the litterbox all the time without peeing- or the other way round if a cat pees outside the litterbox.
They may have different causes. Kidney stones are one of them.
If the kidney stones obstruct the urethra completely and they are not treated a cat may die. But you'll notice any problems much earlier- I've never heard of a Pet Talk cat who died.
Don't be worried, your kitten is anyway to young for that
Ok thank you.
Dab_20 ~ I'd love to see pictures of Oreo. I'm picturing a black and white cat. Am I right?
Ask your vet about microchipping. ~ It could have saved Kuhio's life.
yes your right. she is white with a black mask on her face, three spots on her back, black tail, and blck back legs. her brothers and sister were all blck with white markings, so she was an oddball. lol i dont have a digital camera.
