    Messing with the dogs....pics

Late in the season the dogs start to run trails from memory, especially the ones we use alot. Today I decided to mess with them a bit....

We ran one of of most frequently used trails in the opposite direction. It's amazing how just going the other way changes things!

Originally we were going to a new trail entirely, but Mac found a way over the fence and tagged along. I didn't want to take two loose dogs to a new area(Daisy was along for the run too).

Mac had a great time playing in the deep snow!

    Rolling in the deep snow!

    Swimming in the deep snow!

And just laying in the deep snow!

Anvik is back doing longer runs. We went about 12 miles today. He can not understand why we ever have to stop!

Sundin was a happy little guy when we got home. I call this his "too sexy for my harness" pose! I love this little fella. We've made a lot of progress this winter. He has finally decided that I am not evil incarnate and lets me touch him. He works like, well, like a dog. He's always happy, always up for a run! He's a reliable leader and he's just freaking adorable!

I'm on holidays until after Easter. Expect lots of pics!

I'm... Too sexy for my harness... Oh, Sundin, I sure like your happy face! Glacier, please pet your beautiful dogs for me or hug them if they are so inclined - they are so fluffy and pretty.

Great pictures! It looks like so much fun. I can only imagine what they were thinking when they did their normal trail backwards; kind of familiar yet somethings different...

The picture of Mac swimming is awesome! That's some deep snow. I'm glad the Sundin has decided that being touched isn't terrible. He looks so happy in that last picture.

Great pictures!! Anvik so very pleased to be back on the trail!! Even if it is in the wrong direction.
All of your dogs are just absolutely beautiful and I am looking forward to MANY pictures in the next couple weeks.
Our goal in life should be - to be as good a person as our dog thinks we are.

Yes, I'd have to agree, Sundin is too sexy for his harness. What a happy grin! He looks different than previous photos - has he put a little weight on? He looks terrific.
Oh Mac, you are just toooo adorable! I love his deep snow pictures! And it's good to see Anvik back in harness - does running keep him warm enough he can go without the coat for a while?

Sundin has gained a couple pounds. His diet hasn't changed, but I firmly believe that being nervous burns calories. He's not quite as nervous anymore so he can store a few calories. He was pretty skinny before so a couple new pounds won't hurt him at all.

Anvik hasn't been wearing his coat much lately. He hates it and it's been warm enough most of the time that he's ok without it. It was only about -7C today when he was running. He's inside at night when it's still dropping to -25C.

They are comfy for the dogs, but also designed to encourage pulling. So probably not great for walking!
