Visit to Chicago ~ I got to meet Edwina, Eddie, and their Secretary!

A friend of Andy and I lost his dad last week. The funeral was Monday (4/5) evening, and so Andy and I decided last minute to make the trip out to Chicago. We left Saturday afternoon (after Andy's Aunt's funeral... )

It was quite last minute, but Sara graciously invited us into her home and we got to meet Edwina and Eddie!

The only pictures I got were outside of course. But there is always a next time.

    Edwina on the path

    Watching Mom

Keeping an eye on the squirrels (no sign of Shirley though)

    Eddie

    Such a handsome boy

    Airplane ears!

    Eddie traipsing thru the tulips

    Emerging from under the bush

For a beautiful girl, Edwina sure does make some ugly noises.

Thank you again, Sara, for inviting us into your lovely home and garden.

Sorry to hear about the deaths of your family/friends but a heart felt thank you for sharing pictures of Edwina and Eddie with us.

I must say that Edwina as always looks very lady like and Eddie's eyes are mesmorizing...it looks like he has perfect eyeliner.

Oh dear another "mini Pet Talk gathering." I am so envious, as are my two boys who would love to have the chance to meet Edwina (even if she does make some unladylike sounds. ) Eddie is one handsome boy and looks like he has always lived *The Life of Riley* that he now enjoys.

For you to, huh Kimmy? I'm so sorry I missed you and Andy, it would have been fun to have an impromptu PT meeting with the E's - and Sara of course.

Actually Edwina was pretty well behaved when I was there. I only heard a growl once. I don't think Eddie remembers me at all. He did come in and rub on the chair and swish his tail around a bit, but then he was off to his beloved binkie (since Edwina was under the table on top of some of Sara's good soft-sided luggage ). But I don't blame him for not remembering me. He's probably repressed that whole awful time when he was on the streets. Now that he has such a wonderful home he doesn't need to think about those times anymore.

Thanks for the pics! Terry is in Germany right now and has my camera, so I couldn't believe I had to visit the E's with no camera on hand. I could have gotten a really good one of Sara feeding Shirley a nut. It was so neat. Shirley just makes herself at home and comes right up and asks for a nut and Sara complies. But something you may not have known is that Shirley gets special nuts (I don't remember what they're called but they're HUGE) whereas the other squirrels get plain old peanuts.

Kimmy, I'm sorry for the sad occasion, but how lucky you were to meet The E's and Sara.

The one of Edwina "Looking at mommy" is SO cute - and the ones of Eddie "Handsome boy" and "Airplane ears" are just adorable!!

It's so nice to see you share the garden, now you have to find a compromise concerning the binkie!

Edwina and Eddie, aren't you putting on a bit of weight?

Yes, I've had a very Pettalk few days! Sunday, Debbie came over, and thanks to her I am right now sitting on my porch on my (trumpets please) wireless network! I'm estactic!

Monday, Kimmy and Andy stopped by. I am going to have to work with Edwina on her social skills. She really is very sweet....well okay, with me she can be very sweet. She is sitting here with me right now looking.....well beautiful anyway.

And Randi.....that's just their coats which they will be losing now thast it is warmer....

I think Edwina and Eddie were just shy.

Too bad I didn't get that picture of Andy on his hands and knees trying to coax Edwina out from behind the couch.

They both even tried on a new hat! (Which I regretably did not get a picture of. )

Edwina is so soft and Eddie has the cutest meow.

You're so lucky to have met the Es and their secretary/fashion co-ordinator/walker and binkie distributor Great pics, and I can only imagine the strange sounds that come out of Her Highness's sweet mouth

You got to pet Edwina!!! I think I let her sniff my fingers and took a quick swipe at her back, but I don't think she likes me because even though Eddie doesn't remember me, I know that Edwina remembers that I ruined her nice quiet life.

Great pictures. I'd love to meet the E's too. Luckily I was able to meet Sara and Don last year.

I'm so sorry to hear about your friend though.
