    Lynx

Yesterday we went out to Stuart's prospecting lease. It's a couple hours from home, in the middle of nowhere, with no access except by foot. The drive out to the trailhead was amazing. We saw a bear, moose, swans. I could have done without the porcupines, especially the one Muskwa tried to eat, but we were gifted with a lynx sighting. Neither of us had seen a lynx in the wild before.

He was briefly cooperative with a photo! Such a gorgeous creature.

Wow! Around here, porcupines only come out at night. Did Muskwa come away unscathed from his porcupine encounter? The lynx's coloring is perfect for camouflage for his background, it is amazing you saw him AND got the picture!

Not unscathed! He came away with about 100 quills in his nose, lips, paws and chest.
