    Smiling huskies

Such a happy bunch this afternoon...

    Earle flashing his goofy grin.

Raven looking like she's had a few too many milkbones!

Pacer happy to have found a shady spot.

    Chum grinning for a treat.

I saved the happiest for last. Hobo, the happiest dog ever. This little guy is always grining and dancing around.

Everybody wants Earle! Everytime someone comes to see one of our foster dogs, they always ask if Earle is available. Sorry, but you guys get the same answer...NO! NO! NO!

I just love your dogs! I, too, would like Earle. And, I hate to ask you again but I lost those pics when my hard drive died. Such beautiful dogs. You are very lucky but I'm sure you know that.

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

Fur as dark as the night.
    Join me on this flight.
Paws of love that follow me.
In my heart you'll forever be.

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.

Chum is an Alaskan Husky, not sure exactly what breeds would be mixed in to make up his background. He runs like a greyhound and is very long and skinny like a hound. He talks up a storm and is very people orientated.

He was found with a buddy running on the airport runway. Fortunately, no flights were due in for a bit and the security guard managed to catch them. Usually if there are dogs or wildlife on the runway, they get shot! Chum's buddy was adopted quite quickly, but Chum got overlooked. I think it's because he talks so much. Most of his noise is growly and if you don't know him or watch his body language closely it can sound threatening.

After he had been at the shelter for awhile, someone claiming to be his owner showed up. They were very drunk and very rude to the staff. The shelter was concerned for Chum's safety so he went into hiding here. It's been several months now and we haven't heard from them so I figured it was safe to post his pic!

He is only current foster dog here. He might be going to live with Kira and her owner, but Cam is going away til the end of July so he is here until then. Chum would do really well in that home. He's not a sled dog, he'll pull, but he likes other things much better. He needs lots of one on one attention.
