A few of our ferals are starting to become tame. We don't know why, except they've just learned to trust us. Kurby's been a park resident for some time now, Java has been for about a year. Here's a couple of them:

Catch Kurby and send him my way. What a gorgeous cat!!!!!!!!
But seriously, are they adoptable do you think? Maybe the ones who learn to trust would be able to find homes.
.
What great looking kitties. It is most likely because you feed them. The way to a cat's trust is usually through there stomach. I am with Jen, are any of them adoptable?
Also, if Jen gets Kurby, I want Java.

We went "feeding" about a month ago with K & L and these cats were running up to the car when we pulled in. My husband & I were so surprised to see nothing, then all of a sudden it seemed like a billion cats just started coming out of nowhere and running to the car, knowing they were going to be fed! What an amazing site!!
ALL of the park cats love K & L......it doesn't surprise me, I think if they could, they would bring all of them home!!
Bunny & Kitties:
Taz - F (7); Majerle - M (4) & Loki - M (8 months)
(pronounced: Marley).
Jen-They will only let my husband pet them. I guess this is a good thing since we don't want them to go up to just anyone. I wish they were adoptable!
CatDad-We feed them daily, plus they've all been either neutered or spayed, which also helps keep them healthy. I will send you Java if you want!

We tried to get a picture last night, didn't come out too well but will give you an idea. It is an amazing site, you just don't realize how many cats there really are until feeding time!Originally posted by Catsnclay

This is just one section of the park colonies:

K & L, I'm SO impressed with what you do for all these kitties, if they didn't have you, they'd be starving.
It's a good sign that some of them are getting closer. It takes time and patience, but I think you'll succeed in finding some of them loving homes.
All the best of luck - and thanks a million times!! You are wonderful!!

Bless you guys for all you do for these little Park babies. Java is beautiful.

K & L, I am so impressed by you! Thanks for being so kind to these kitties. Those two cats are beautiful!
Thank you all! We love doing this.

I too am impressed. I have to say that you could send Java my way. I love his/her markings.Originally posted by Randi

You two are so great to these guys!
Looks like my living room right before dinner time.

Oh Gosh, how I would love to be sitting in the middle of all those gorgeous cats. It just breaks my heart knowing that they don't have a loving lap to sleep on, or loving hands to pet them or a nice warm bed to sleep in.
But at least they have the love of two VERY SPECIAL people who make sure they get fed daily.
Bless the both of you for caring for these precious kitties.
And Jen, no word of a lie, but when I saw the last picture, I thought, "Reminds me of Jen's place."

I agree, what you and your husband are doing for those cats is wonderful.
I love Java's coloring and Kurby is very cute.
