    Angie ~

So Sorry you felt left out - certainly wasn't intentional!
I remember petting BOTH Buddy and Sierra...
And I think I had Buddy on the leash for a while.

Leaving a dog behind is TOUGH - I had to do that with Cinder
when I was visiting Mom - Smokey was "welcome" in the Village as
a Therapy Dog - but ole Cinder *snapped* once -
and got herself "un-welcomed" forever .
So on super-Hot or -Cold days when she couldn't stay in the car -
she had to stay home and Kat-Sit with the Boots.

If you're not comfortable with bringing Buddy - isn't there SomeOne
that could Dawg-Sit and Play with him for the day -
    and let you bring Sierra?
Or Bring-a-Friend with you - and take turns
wandering around the Park with Buddy -
there's LOTS of trails in the woods
across the road from the Bark Park.

I'd like to hear some *Thoughts* from others about how to "handle"
the *snappers* - has anyone actually USED a muzzle on a dog?
Might not be totally *phunn* for he or she who has to *wear* it -
but it would be better than staying home!

You're NOT *alone* with this problem, Angie - and we'd ALL love
to see you and BOTH Kids back at the Gathurin.

I think we should be able to come up with a workable solution!

    Angie,

It is good that you have shared your feelings with us. It was difficult that day with so many locals and pet talker dogs in the park to get around visiting with everyone. I am sure no one meant to make you feel left out. I guess because I usually bring 3 (and leave 2 at home) that I spend so much time making sure mine are behaving that I sometimes don't get around to visiting as much as I would like to. I think because I am from Findlay I felt responsible for what happened at the park. Because of some things that have happened with the Park board I no longer feel that way - all though I do feel I have to keep an eye on my 3some to make sure Snoopy isn't barking too much or jumping on people, and Taggert isn't finding baby bunnies and hurting them and Jack isn't growling because someone is trying to share his space under the picnic table. I really think you should try it again. As Phred said I am sure we can come up with a workable solution with Buddy.

One thing I have also found in any group situation is that sometimes that lots of people are shy or hesitant in knowing how to begin conversations with newer people. I think of myself as shy, I know others see me as standoffish. Just because you didn't feel comfortable that day that it meant anything about you personally or your dogs. As in any group, it sometimes is easier some days than others to talk to everyone. Please come back as soon as you can!

I too, am sorry you felt that way Angie.
I remember coming over to pet Buddy a few times, but I don't rememeber how much I talked to you when I did...I too am fairly shy with new people and do better talking to their dogs.

And like my mom said, I felt a certain responsibilty to watch all the dogs since my name was on the pavilon reservation. I think I sort of neglect talking to most people becuase of that....and trying to keep track of my three, making sure Spot isn't humping Huney, or Sadie isn't being too rough with anyone. And well, Cincy is usually just laying around so she's pretty easy to watch

We did enjoy having you there, and I hope you will give us another chance. I'm sure we can thinkof something for Buddy, even if some of us take turns walking him outside the fence.

    Angie,
I too am glad you made your feelings known.

Ask anyone there, I'm not usually one to start conversations (or talk much during a conversation). I mostly play with all the dogs I don't know if that makes me more "unlikeable" since I'm not talking much, just playing
But either way, I love going and so do the girls and I bet your two would love to come back (and hope you do too)!

Angie, if you come to the one in May (the Memorial Day weekend one, Paul and I will be there, and we'd love to meet you and your doggies. We won't be bringing any dogs (and Miss Hoppy stays home to guard the house) so we're free to mingle with whomever! Sorry you had a not-great time, and it's always up to you, but the invitation IS open. For a second or so, I wondered if we'd feel out of place with no dogs as our responsibility, but we were made quite welcome even before I opened the Pupperoni.

It doesn't look like Lauren and I will be coming in the end of May....

BUT--- I mentioned it to my dad and he seemed interested (he asked me when..and I told him about registration and such.)

Then my mom mentioned how she wants to go to MI this year -- sometime around the fourth of July.. and said we could maybe make a meeting around that time.. Well see.

I'm printing out the registration form for Findlay now.

    Angie,

Thats my fear if I ever decide to go to a meeting. To be left out since im younger. And people prolly don't wanna talk to a 14 year old. lol ehh, but anyways, i'm sorry if you had a no-fun time. Maybe next time it will be better.

    Great pictures, Robin!!

I *think* that's roxey in the last one-- I could be wrong though.

Hope you all don't mind, I made a new thread for the Memorial Weekend meeting.
