I hope the news about dear Killie continue to be good and that the medication really worked. It's encouraging to know he's eating a bit more. You are both still in my thoughts.

Hey Killi, Star never made it to your house...something about running out of gas But, she wanted me to tell you that she and Cody have actually convinced their Mom to cook a really BIG, turkey with all the trimmings, and it would be our pleasure to set a place at the table for YOU! (And Shiloh, of course!) Humans are not welcome! It's a doggies only affair. And, in the event you are unable to attend, she says she'd be more than happy to mail you a plate! But the most important thing of all is that you're eating again Killi! Here's hoping the medic. has taken hold and you're feeling better and better every day! Love to you and sweet Shi! Killi up-date:

    Shiloh here:

This mornin' Killi didn't wanna eat too much, so I ran over to his bowl and started chowin down when....ughhhhhh. Mom tried this chicken canned dog food....phewie!!!! I did not like it! Now, I like almost anything (including a good bee or wasp at times) but this stuff was ICKY. No wonder the Kill-boy wouldn't eat it. Mom says she'll feed him some good stuff instead. Time to get back to the old beef, rice, etc. meals. Those are GOOD!!!!
Still waitin ta see if the meds keep his mouthy ok!

Gotta go take a nap now, bye!

    Shilih,

So sorry to hear that Killi didn't eat today. Perhaps if your mommy gives him some better tasting stuff, he will want to chow down.
Keep helping your mom take care of Killian, OK?

OK, Mom, time to get back to the stove!! Shi, I think we should name you the official taste tester. It has to pass Shiloh's paw of approval before it's offered to our Killian! Time to give the old "Killi cheer!" Killian, Killian, he's our man, he can do it, we know he can!!" We love you Killian!!:_

Thank you everybuddy, right now Mom is cooking up my beef, rice, egg, bread concoction. I think I might eat it. I didn't like that yucky stuff this morning. I got an ouchy pain this afternoon. I yelped out and ran. Mom doesn't know where I hurt.

    Bark to ya later!

    Sue,

I just hate to hear the fact that Killian has so much
pain with this awful disease. I think they bear a lot of
pain at times and never show it outwardly. When they
do yelp out, you know it must really be hurting them.

I hope once he is able to eat more that he starts to feel
much better. Hugs to that brave boy Killian & his loving
    Mom.

Sorry you were hurting poor boy. I hope your meds can get rid of your pain soon.

Oh, I know that yelp of pain, it makes you hurt too. The other morning Angus was really sore & had a big problem getting up. After he finally stood up, he just stood there & cried, so I just hugged him & tried to get him moving (he usually feels better then, he gets really stiff in his right back leg), gave him an asprin & in no time he was as good as new.

Oh, poor sweet Angus, I am familiar with the pain that your poor boy is going through because my first GSD had hip dysplasia (with surgery to correct) but in the end, arthritis set in. The same with my Great Pyr in that arthritis set in where her ACL surgery was done.

The vet said that Killian's front elbow has arthritis, too. She didn't say anything more about it (because of his more pressing issues), but I fear that there are no meds that he can safely take for it because of his liver. When it acts up, I don't know what our options are. We will cross that bridge when we come to it though.

Well, today Killi ate his homecooked liver diet!! ( I had to add a little bit of hot dog to get him started though). He is still not acting his old self. He is better, not still not well. I think we may have to have the mouth done again even though it is too soon. My poor baby!

    Thanks, all.
