Thread: Cirrus Needs To Have Surgery

  1. #106
I just now read this and I must say, you are a very loving cat mommy. I am glad to hear things with Cirrus are going much better. Poor kitty, to have to go through something so tramatic, but you are doing a fine job in making sure he stays comfortable. I hope he recovers soon and please update us soon on his progress.

I'm so glad cirrus is calming down and becoming his lovable self again. He just wants to go home and get back to normal. Poor baby wants that thing off of his head too!!! I don't blame you Cirrus but it is almost over now!
KaK I do not envy what you have gone through. I know you will be so glad when this is over. You have done a great job and been a wonderful meowmie!! Hang on...It's almost over!!!!

I can't wait for the post that says Cirrus is home with an all clear from the vet!!

Yeah! Wonderful news! I agree that the separation was probably the best thing you could do for him, and yes, it's almost over. Before you know it he'll be home and settled in as if nothing at all happened.

Tracey, now that he's got used to have the collar on and is healing, don't you think you can take him home? Fister did very well after he got used to the collar and realised it was staying on! But then, we didn't see him until after 5 days.

I'm glad to hear he's doing better now and starting to be sociable.

Cirrus, what an ordeal this has been for you and Meowmie! Hang in there, tough guy, you are in the home stretch.

I only read this thread now, and am so sorry that I missed it. Maybe I should visit Cat Health more often.

I'm glad to hear Cirrus is getting better, and will be praying for his quick and full recovery. Hang in there Cirrus. Hopefully you'll be all better soon!

Randi, I would except that I have 3 other cats that might try to lick his stitches and surgery area. I also don't want him to start running, jumping, and playing yet either. I know that he's lonely but he's healing very well and being a very good boy. I may also need to reintroduce him to his brothers since he's been away from them for so long.

Thanks everyone for all of your concerns and get well wishes.

Tracey, how could I forget the other 3! Of course, they'd probably try to lick him. I'm glad to hear he's healing well and feeling better. I can't wait to hear how it goes when he gets home. I think the others will welcome him and all will be back to normal. Have any of them been searching for him?

If you like, I can send you a picture of Fister showing his sticthes. I was very much in doubt whether they should be removed after ten days, so I sent a picture to a nurse friend to hear her opinion.

Randi, yes I think that Sunny has missed him the most because they were very close and loved to play with each other. Sky has also been acting up quite a bit and knows that something is missing around here. Storm hasn't missed Cirrus at all. He's been in heaven. I sure hope that Storm will be nicer to Cirrus from now on.Yes Randi, you can send me a picture of Fister's stitches. I was hoping that Cirrus would have his removed after 10 days. I guess the surgeon wants to be sure that he's healed so he likes them to stay in an extra 4 days.

Thanks for the well wishes Kohala. I know you've been very preoccupied with Grasshopper. I sure hope that she starts feeling better soon and lives a long happy life.
