Sorry to interject something serious here........but yesterday I received my auto registration renewal form. It sent me right through the roof - because it has gone through the roof.

When I bought the car - the license fee was $244. Last year it was $218. The new registration is $519.

A $301.00 increase over last year. Yeah, heck it is just money - pay it. I am waiting until the last minute to see if something is done about it.

There are going to be a lot of very angry people around as these bills start arriving.

It is classic, just classic. - oh, sorry, I have to get back to work so I can hopefully make an extra $300 to pay for this (and not eat for a while).

THAT is why i have no problem with a pot smoking, womanizing ex-body builder and actor running the state.

    Gini,

would you like some Top Ramen recipes??

    Gini,
Not that this should make you feel any better.
The new fees that you are seeing
now, are not new, they are actually old reinstated fees that DMV used for their price scale a few yrs. back.
I will never understand why the fees were cut so
drastically low in the first place, and than our government
    screams their is no money.
What ever happen to middle ground, where we could still
have reaped the benefits of lower License
fees. (One extreme to the other)
Now the reinstated fees will HURT a lot of people.

KYS, of course, you are right. It is just the yo-yo on costs that gets to me.

For example, I purchased gas on 7/26 - and it cost $1.59 a gallon.
Last weekend I purchased gas and it was $2.09 a gallon. Oh, I forgot - there was a pipeline break in Phoenix.......that's why. Hello?

Let's see - for dinner, we have top ramen and lime Kool-Aid thanks to Richard's excellent suggestions

Maybe we should make our politicians enjoy this same cuisine----until they get their act(s) together.

I seem to be on a rant today.....we are talking about financing Afghanistan's need for an overhaul on their electrical problems.
But when we talk about the huge power failure in our own country - guess we can't afford that. Soon we will be using candle power only - and they will find a way to put an extra "use" tax on candles as well.

    Sorry everyone.

I say Top ramen is to good for these politicians.

Umm! This is kind of fun to rant and rave, and candles
    can be romantic.
    Head is still spinning!!

P.S. I was skipping channels, (early afternoon) and I
paused at the Jerry Springer show.
Woman in the audience were pulling up their tops
and exposing them selves for a string of beads.
(I hope these are not our future politicians)

Or our future Judges! Well, Gini, I'm doing the math so I can figure out how much I'll need to save up when registration time comes around - Wasn't the American Revolution based on resistance to over-taxation - ?
